We are building a network of critical realists living and working in Asia Pacific. We hope that the CRITICAL REALISM NETWORK – ASIA PACIFIC will connect us with one another, and our connections–among fellow educators, philosophers, and social scientists, and thinkers–will engender a rich exchange of ideas among us.
The network’s logo expresses the critical realist commitment to judgmental rationality by capturing not only the transitive dimension of knowing–the perspectival and finite nature of human knowing (epistemic relativism)–but also, its intransitive dimension–a reality independent of the knower (ontological realism).
